  • Munagaku (Drumstick leaves) - 1 cup, cleaned and dried
  • Chana dal (Bengal gram) - 2 tbsp
  • Urad dal (Black gram) - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilies - 4-6 (adjust based on spice preference)
  • Curry leaves - a handful
  • Tamarind - small lemon-sized ball
  • Garlic - 2-3 cloves
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp (for toasting)

  • Dry roast Chana dal, Urad dal, red chilies, and curry leaves separately until they turn golden brown.
