Ingredients Needed For Making Mango Dal:-

  1. Half raw mango peeled and chopped into medium-sized

  2. 1 cup Toor dal cooked 

  3. 2 tablespoons red chili powder or adjust the quantity depending on your spicy

  4. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  5. 10  curry leaves

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1 tablespoon ghee

  8. 1 teaspoon urad dal

  9. 1 teaspoon jeera

  10. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds

  11. 1 teaspoon Hing

  12. 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

  13. Garlic leaves -3 crushed

  14. Water -as required

Procedure For Making Mango Dal:-

  1. Firstly peel the skin of raw mango and cut into small pieces 

  2. Take a large kadai, put the mango pieces along with a cup of water and add a little turmeric

  3. Cover with lid and cook till mangoes turn soft. Don’t overcook mangoes

  4. Now add red chili powder, little turmeric powder and salt to taste

  5. Mix well and make sure there are no lumps of chili powder 

  6. Now add a cooked dal and give a good mix 

  7. Add water if required to get thick consistency of dal and cook for 5 minutes

  8. Now take a small pan to add ghee when it turns hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, Hing, chili flakes, crushed garlic and curry leaves and allow to split

  9. Turn off the flame and pour this tempering to  mango dal

  10. Finally, garnish with some coriander leaves and serve hot with rice 

  11. If u want to add onion and tomatoes I will become tastier .it is optional.
