Ingredients Needed For Vegetable Kurma

(Cooking for two people):-

  1. ½ cup potatoes finely chopped

  2. ½ cup beans finely chopped

  3. ½ cup carrots finely chopped

  4. ½ cup green peas

  5. 2 small size tomatoes chopped

  6. 1 small onion chopped

  7. 1 green chili

  8. Coriander leaves – as required

  9. Water – as required

  10. Oil – as required

  11. Salt – as per taste

  12.  Ginger garlic paste – 1 tablespoon

  13. Curry leaves – 10 to 20

Spices needed for Vegetable Kurma:-

  1. Cloves -3

  2. Cinnamon – 1 inch

  3. Cardamom – 2 black or green

  4. Bay leaf – 1

  5. Jeera – 1 teaspoon

  6. Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon

  7. Red chili powder- 1 teaspoon

  8. Garam masala powder- 1 teaspoon

For making gravy ingredients:-

  1. Roasted peanuts – 2 tablespoons

  2. Fennel seeds -1 teaspoon

  3. Grated coconut – 2 cups

Procedure For Making Vegetable Kurma:-

  1. Take a blender to add roasted peanuts, coconut, fennel seeds and add some water and make a fine paste

  2. Take a pan pour oil in it. When it turns hot add all spices like cloves, cinnamon,       bay leaf, cardamom, jeera and fry them for 2 minutes

  3. Now add the chopped onions and fry them until  the raw smell disappears

  4. Then add a ginger garlic paste and saute them until the raw smell disappears

  5. Now add chopped tomatoes and salt and saute them until they get soft

  6. Now add chili powder,garam masala powder, turmeric and saute them for few minutes 

  7. Now add grinded paste and fry for 3 to 5 minutes

  1. Turn the flame low and add chopped all vegetables

  2. Mix well and saute for 5 minutes 

  3. Now add water to cover the veggies

  4. Add salt and give a good mix 

  5. Cook on medium flame until the vegetables cooked 

  6. Finally, add coriander leaves and switch off the flame

  7. serve kurma with rice or chapati

  8. Turn the flame low and add chopped all vegetables

  9. Mix well and saute for 5 minutes 

  10. Now add water to cover the veggies

  11. Add salt and give a good mix 

  12. Cook on medium flame until the vegetables cooked 

  13. Finally, add coriander leaves and switch off the flame

  14. serve kurma with rice or chapati
